Medical school student's research looks at ACL recovery for injured athletes

Fourth-year Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine student Lindsay Maguire is an athlete who found herself drawn to a research project with implications for other athletes. She worked under the mentorship of Robin Queen, associate professor of biomedical engineering and mechanics, in the Kevin P. Granata Biomechanics Lab at Virginia Tech.

Check out the video below to learn more about her project, which looked at ways to determine when an athlete with an ACL injury may be ready to return to sport to decrease chance of reinjury.
