A Beautiful Place to Live, Work, and Play

Come Visit!

Virginia Tech's main campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, is situated amongst the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Southwest Virginia. With distinctive seasons, a thriving university and town culture, and convenient access to national parks and recreation areas, it's no wonder Blacksburg is consistently ranked as one of the nation's best places to live and work.

The university's main campus is located on U.S. 460, about 10 miles from Interstate 81 and about 45 miles from Interstate 77. Commercial air service is provided by the Roanoke Regional Airport, and the Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport is a public airport located half a mile from campus.

BEAM programs are primarily housed in Norris Hall and Kelly Hall on the main Virginia Tech campus. Lab space also extends to several other campus locations in both Blacksburg and Roanoke.
