Minor in Biomedical Engineering

Minor Requirements

Students enrolled in one of the degree-granting programs offered by the Virginia Tech College of Engineering are eligible to enroll in the biomedical engineering minor. Interested students should complete the minor application, which is part of the Change of Major process. College's change of major application process. Students can apply for the biomedical engineering minor only, or for another engineering major and the biomedical engineering minor at the same time. More information on the Change of Major process and requirements can be found on the College of Engineering website.

BME Minor requirements are based upon the academic year you start at Virginia Tech and are published in the Undergraduate Catalog.

For students who entered before academic year 2024-2025, minor requirements are available as Checksheets and are also based upon the academic year you started at Virginia Tech.
