Responsibilities
Provides human resources and administrative support to the Director of Operations, Assistant Director of Operations, and Fiscal Team for the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics (BEAM). Serves as one of the main HR representatives and liaison for BEAM with VT’s central HR Department. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and conducting on and off-boarding processes for all BEAM employees. Serves as the main leave and wage payroll representative for the Department.
Education
Jon graduated from Virginia Tech in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Management and minoring in Human Resource Management.
Certifications
Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Certification.
Background
Jon Began his career at Virginia Tech in February of 2023 as an HR Operations Assistant with the Division of Human Resources. He joined BEAM in October 2023.
