Biomedical Engineering Career Fair

Location: Inn at VT, Latham Ballroom
Time: 10 AM - 3 PM
  • 8 AM - 10 AM Company check in, set up
  • 3 PM - 4 PM Company break down

Date: Tuesday, September 17, 2024 
Location: Smith Career Center (2nd floor)
Time: 9 AM - 4 PM

Employer Frequently Asked Questions

Cost to attend the BME Career Fair is $850

  • A skirted 8’ x 6’ booth with electrical power strip, company signage, and curtained back wall
  • Admission for up to two representatives (food, chairs, and name tags)
  • Food: Continental breakfast, deli-style lunch, and beverages/heavy Hors d'oeuvres at the evening reception. If you choose to stay for Interview Day on Tuesday, it will also include catered breakfast and lunch

  • Employers can register on Handshake

  • If you have any questions during registration, please contact BEAM Marketing, Communications and External Relations Manager, Michelle Darby.

We have secured a reservation rate for the Inn at Virginia Tech, the venue for the fair, of $159/night. In addition, we have secured alternative room rates at the Hyatt Place and the Residence Inn Blacksburg for $129/night. The reservation code will be shared upon registration. 

  • All the hotels offered for employers provide guests free parking on-site, including The Inn at VT, Residence Inn, and Hyatt Place. Please do not park on campus without a paid permit. 

  •  If you are staying for Interview Day, you will need to park in the Coliseum Lot across the street from Smith Career Center and pay via ParkMobile.

We have reserved  interview suites in the Smith Career Center to provide a convenient space for interviews the day after the Biomedical Engineering Career Fair, Tuesday, October 21st. All rooms are Zoom-equipped for those who would like to offer a hybrid or virtual option.

Please indicate your interest in participating in Interview Day during registration or emailing Michelle Darby to sign up. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to employers. Parking is available across the street in Coliseum Lot using ParkMobile daily passes.
