Speakers Bureau

Our students love to hear from professionals in industry!  The speakers bureau provides a venue for scientists and engineers to share their professional journey, educational pathway, and real-world work experiences.  Travel support is provided by BEAM and speakers typically spend one overnight at our beautiful Blacksburg campus.  A full itinerary usually involves a one-hour lecture to undergraduate and graduate students, meetings with faculty, as well as opportunities to informally interact and network.  Volunteers should expect that they may be called upon to visit campus once in a two to three year period.
