Michele Waters

In August 2018 Michele Waters became Virginia Tech’s first African-American female to graduate with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering. In the video above, she describes her work with underrepresented minority groups as well as her future plans, research interests, and the support she received from the Virginia Tech community during her time on campus.

Michele is currently a postdoctoral researcher at NYU Langone Health.
