“My Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the Virginia Tech – Wake Forest School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences provided me with diverse opportunities and experiences, including a Fulbright year to Denmark, serving fellow graduate students, and investigating cancer progression.
“As a direct result of my highly interdisciplinary research project that was fostered by Virginia Tech’s collaborative networks, I'm sticking around to further tools for cancer diagnoses in the heart of Hokie nation working for a startup, CytoRecovery, at the Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg.”
Alexandra Hyler graduated with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering in May 2018.
