Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)

The VT-WFU Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is the Virginia Tech - Wake Forest University BMES chapter that was founded to help bridge the gap between the two campuses and foster communication and collaboration among various research groups. The group’s mission is to encourage the development, dissemination, integration, and utilization of knowledge in biomedical engineering, as well as enhance interaction within the scientific community.

The VT-WF chapter offers unique ways for students to become involved in outreach projects, research collaborations, and social events with other biomedical engineering students, faculty, staff, and industry. BMES members are involved in many service and outreach projects within the local community participate annually in the BMES Annual Meeting.
