COVID NOTICE: COVID-19 update
Based on an abundance of caution and deep concern for the possible risk that assembling in crowded spaces creates, we are compelled to cancel the seminar series for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. More information regarding the university extending spring break and moving classes online -- in response to COVID-19 -- can be found here.
All students currently registered for the seminar series will receive a "pass" grade.
In choosing this regrettable but prudent step, we are in line with public health guidelines regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, as well as appropriate procedures determined by Virginia Tech’s COVID-19 Committee. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment these changes may have caused. The university is sharing updates regularly. To learn more visit the Virginia Tech COVID-19 page.
Due to the pandemic, the following are on zoom:

4/8 Librescu Memorial Lecture: Chiara Daraio, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Physics at Caltech
